How snipers and bots shape memecoin launches

If a fresh launch is somehow already up 50% before you can click buy, you are seeing bots at work. Snipers, bundlers, and liquidity-sniping bots dominate the first blocks of nearly every Solana launch, and they shape the early chart you are trying to trade. Understanding them is essential to not being their exit liquidity.

Snipers: racing for the first fills

Snipe bots monitor new-pool and mempool feeds and fire instant buys, paying aggressive priority fees to win the opening blocks. They capture the cheapest prices — the bottom of a bonding curve or a fresh pool — before any human can react.

Bundling: one actor in disguise

Bundling goes further: a team uses an atomic transaction bundle to buy a large share of supply across many wallets in the same block as the deploy. It looks like instant organic demand but is really one coordinated actor holding concentrated supply.

Liquidity sniping

Some bots specifically watch for the add-liquidity event on a new pool and buy the instant it lands, again grabbing the first, cheapest fills before humans.

Why this shapes the early chart

Because bots take the bottom, the chart is often already pumped by the time a human sees it. Those bots then look to sell — frequently onto the wave of manual buyers who chased the early green. That early dump is snipers and jeets taking profit.

Watch out — Buying right after a heavily sniped or bundled launch usually means buying the bots' exit. Check first-block concentration before engaging.

Why manual aping rarely wins

You cannot out-react a bot. Competing on raw speed for the first blocks is a losing game. The manual trader's edge is not speed — it is selection (screening out concentrated, scammy launches) and discipline (sizing and exits).

How to use this knowledge

  • Assume the first blocks belong to bots — do not try to be literally first.
  • Check first-block / bundle concentration before buying a launch.
  • Aim to be early on confirmed, broadening demand, not on the deploy.
  • Use alerts to cut recognition lag instead of racing bots.
  • Skip launches where snipers/bundlers hold a large supply share.

Knowing the theory is great. Catching it live is better.
